1 | Acute toxicity (Oral) | Not classified |
- |
- | - | Based on a LD50 value of 8.16 mL/kg (6153 mg/kg) for rats (PATTY (5th, 2001)), the substance was classified into "Not classified". | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Dermal) | Not classified |
- |
- | - | Based on a LD50 value of >20 mL/kg (>15000 mg/kg) for rabbits (PATTY (5th, 2001)), the substance was classified as "Not classified". | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |

1 | Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Vapours) | Not classified |
- |
- | - | Based on the result of no mortality (0/6) in rats exposed at 64,000 ppm (vapour) for 4-hour (PATTY (5th, 2001)), the substance was classified as "Not classified". Since the vapour concentration was lower than 90% of saturated vapour pressure concentration (672,368 ppm), the substance was determined as "vapour with almost no included mists", and classification criteria for gas was adopted. | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |

There is a report that the substance concentration necessary to produce surgical anesthesia by inhalation is 6% (PATTY (5th, 2001)). An anesthesia effect was observed in 50 % of mice following exposure to substance vapour at a concentration of 108 mg/L for 15 min (IUCLID (2000)). No pathological changes in the liver and kidney were observed in rats at 2 weeks after 15-minute anaesthesia with the substance and no liver dysfunction was observed in dogs and monkeys after 60-minute anaesthesia with the substance (IUCLID (2000)). Since narcotic effects were observed without other toxic effects, the substance was classified into Category 3 (narcotic effects). | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |
