As a part of the work commissioned by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), NITE will organize a study and review of mobility scooter safety. To begin with, NITE has established the "Study Group for Mobility Scooter Safety" and initiated a sample purchase product safety test of mobility scooters currently available on the market to ascertain the current safety performance status.
