The National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) held a press briefing on the prevention of fire accidents with fans and vent fans due to aging deterioration and etc.

Among the product accident information reported to the Product Safety Technology Center have been many accidents due to “fans” and “vent fans”, and many of these accidents are due to deterioration by using them for prolonged periods (aging deterioration). Occurrence of accidents of “fans” and “vent fans” concentrates in July to August. Especially for prevention of accidents due to aging deterioration, NITE decided to offer information on abnormal actions and etc due to aging deteriorations as well as to conduct a promotion of consumers’ awareness.
