HEALTH HAZARDS
Hazard class Classification Symbol Signal word Hazard statement Precautionary statement Rationale for the classification
1 Acute toxicity (Oral) Category 3 Danger H301: Toxic if swallowed P301+P310: IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.
P264: Wash ... thoroughly after handling.
P270: Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
P321: Specific treatment (see ... on this label).
P330: Rinse mouth.
P405: Store locked up.
P501: Dispose of contents/container to ...
Based on the rat oral LD50 = 112mg/kg and 95mg/kg (Agricultural Chemical Registration Data), we selected the value indicating the higher toxicity (LD50 = 95mg/kg) to classify the substance as Category 3.
1 Acute toxicity (Dermal) Not classified - - - - Considering rat dermal LD50 >5000mg/kg (Agricultural Chemical Registration Data), it was set as the outside of Category.
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Gases) Not applicable - - - - Solid (GHS definition)
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Vapours) Classification not possible - - - - No data available
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Dusts and mists) Classification not possible - - - - LC50 showed 0.436mg/L or more in the test using a 10% dusting powders (Agricultural Chemical Registration Data). But the category cannot be specified. Therefore, it cannot be classified since the data is insufficient.
2 Skin corrosion/irritation Not classified - - - - Since irritation was not admitted in primary skin of rabbits irritation test (examination for agricultural-chemicals applications for registration), it carried out the outside of Category.
3 Serious eye damage/eye irritation Category 2A Warning H319: Causes serious eye irritation P305+P351+P338: IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
P337+P313: If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
P264: Wash ... thoroughly after handling.
P280: Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
In the eye primary irritation examination in a rabbit, blue haze, dacryorrhea and conjunctivitis, corrosive change of conjunctiva and nictitating membrane are seen (it recovered in long period of time for non-eye washing requirements, a degree was light and it recovered in ten days for eye washing requirements). And ocular mucosa irritations was positive (Agricultural Chemical Registration Data). So it was set as Category 2A.
4 Respiratory sensitization Classification not possible - - - - No data available
4 Skin sensitization Classification not possible - - - - No data available
5 Germ cell mutagenicity Classification not possible - - - - It was negative at the Ames test of in vitro mutagenicity test, and it was positive in chromosome aberration test (Agricultural Chemical Registration Data), but there is no result of in vivo test. So it cannot be classified according to technical guidelines.
6 Carcinogenicity Classification not possible - - - - Carcinogenic was not acknowledged in the carcinogenic test (small-scale 78-week preliminary exam) in rat (Agricultural Chemical Registration Data). So it was presupposed that data is insufficient and it cannot be classified.
7 Reproductive toxicity Classification not possible - - - - Although no effect was observed in the teratogenicity study using rats and rabbits (Agricultural Chemical Registration Data), assessment on the reproductive potential is unknown, so it cannot be classified due to insufficient data.
8 Specific target organ toxicity - Single exposure Category 1 (nervous system) Danger H370: Causes damage to organs (nervous system) P307+P311: IF exposed: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.
P260: Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
P264: Wash ... thoroughly after handling.
P270: Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
P321: Specific treatment (see ... on this label).
P405: Store locked up.
P501: Dispose of contents/container to ...
In the oral administration trest using a rat, the influence such as tremor, convulsion, and salivation on the nervous system were observed, and spasmodic gait was observed in the inhalation test using 10% of dust formulation (all are Agricultural Chemical Registration Data). Since each of these views was observed at the dose which is equivalent to Category 1 in a guidance value, they were considered as Category 1 (nerve systems).
9 Specific target organ toxicity - Repeated exposure Classification not possible - - - - Slight influences in blood and urine were only observed at the highest dosage (10mg/kg/day) in a 13-week repeated oral administration test using a rat (Agricultural Chemical Registration Data), and it could not be classified due to insufficient data.
10 Aspiration hazard Classification not possible - - - - No data available

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS

11 Hazardous to the aquatic environment (Acute) Classification not possible - - - - Insufficient data available.
11 Hazardous to the aquatic environment (Long-term) Classification not possible - - - - Classification not possible due to lack of data
