P361: Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
P363: Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
P405: Store locked up.
P501: Dispose of contents/container to ...
From a description of LD50 value of about 600 mg/kg (SIDS (1991)) and 580 mg/kg (EHC 169 (1996)) in the dermal administration test employing rabbits, it was classified into Category 3.
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Gases) Not applicable - - - - Since it was a solid by the definition of GHS and inhalation in gas was not assumed, it was classified into "Not applicable".
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Vapours) Classification not possible - - - - Classification not possible due to lack of data
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Dusts and mists) Classification not possible - - - - Classification not possible due to lack of data
2 Skin corrosion/irritation Category 2 Warning H315: Causes skin irritation P302+P352: IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water.
P332+P313: If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
P264: Wash ... thoroughly after handling.
P280: Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
P321: Specific treatment (see ... on this label).
P362: Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
It was classified into Category 2 with no description of recovery properties despite the description of "highly irritating" from PII: 6.0 and 6.78 (ECETOC TR66 (1995), IUCLID (2000)) in the skin irritation and corrosion test with rabbits (OECD TG 404, GLP).
3 Serious eye damage/eye irritation Category 2 Warning H319: Causes serious eye irritation P305+P351+P338: IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
P337+P313: If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
P264: Wash ... thoroughly after handling.
P280: Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
Since it has been described as "Modified Maximum Average Scores: 16.00; moderately irritating, 59.17;irritating, 60.50;irritating" (ECETOC TR48 (1992), IUCLID (2000)) in hte eye irritation/corrosion test employing rabbits (OECD TG 405, GLP), it was classified into Category 2.
4 Respiratory sensitization Classification not possible - - - - Classification is not possible since there is no data.
4 Skin sensitization Not classified - - - - It was classified into "Not classified" since it was described in the Maximization tests employing guinea pig that the skin sensitization was not observed (ECETOC TR77 (1999)).
5 Germ cell mutagenicity Not classified - - - - Since it has been described to be negative (SIDS (1991), EHC 169 (1996)) in the micronucleus test of a productive cell in vivo mutagenicity test, it was classified into "Not classified".
6 Carcinogenicity Classification not possible - - - - Since no evaluation by major international evaluation agencies is made and there is no sufficient data, classification is not possible. In addition, there is a description that "although prolonged test is done, it is inadequate for carcinogenicityity evaluation. A proof that Alkyl Sulfates was carcinogenicity did not obtained by the study which administered mixed feed to animals" (EHC 169 (1996)).
7 Reproductive toxicity Classification not possible - - - - Although there is a description as follows according to the primary document (Annual Health Report of Tokyo (1976)) published in EHC 169 (1996), "Decrease in the conception rate and the body weight of fetal animals and delayed growth were recognized at the dose level where the weight of mother animals was suppressed in the teratogenicity study .by applying to the mouse skin. Occurrence of cleft palates and delayed ossification is also observed but they are not significant. Studies via oral administration will be needed, including the development of cleft plates and problems of implantation," classification is not possible because data are insufficient.
8 Specific target organ toxicity - Single exposure Category 3 (Respiratory tract irritation) Warning H335: May cause respiratory irritation (respiratory tract irritation) P304+P340: IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
P403+P233: Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed.
P261: Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
P271: Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
P312: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell.
P405: Store locked up.
P501: Dispose of contents/container to ...
It was classified into Category 3 (Respiratory tract irritation) based on descriptions that Respiratory tract irritation is seen by aerosol exposure in a mouse, a rabbit, and a guinea pig (IUCLID (2000)) and that Respiratory tract irritation is seen by short terms exposure (ICSC (1997)).
9 Specific target organ toxicity - Repeated exposure Category 2 (kidney) Warning H373: May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure (kidney) P260: Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
P314: Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
P501: Dispose of contents/container to ...
In 2-week mixed feed administration test, liver cells slightly swelled, and the number of divided liver cells increased in the pathological tissue test of rats in which increase in liver weight was found. These are considered to have adapted to administration of this substance. In addition, it is written that there were vacuolar degeneration of kidney tubular epithelial cells, and atrophia of kidney glomerulus (EHC 169 (1996)). Although these symptoms were found within the scope of the guidance value of Category 2, it was not adopted because symptoms in liver were not considered to be adverse effects by administration of this substance, and it was classified into Category 2 (kidney). In addition, it is only written in 3-month dermal administration test in rabbits that "dose-dependent skin irritation was found" (EHC 169 (1996)).
10 Aspiration hazard Classification not possible - - - - Classification not possible due to lack of data

P501: Dispose of contents/container to ...
It was classified into Category 1 from 96 hours LC50=0.72mg/L of the crustacea (Homarus Americanus) (SIDS (1997)).
11 Hazardous to the aquatic environment (Long-term) Not classified - - - - Although acute toxicity was Category 1, since there were rapid degradability (SIDS (1997)) and there were no bio-accumulation (Logkow=1.6 (PHYSPROP Database (2008))), it was classified into Not classified.
