When guinea pigs were exposed to saturated atmospheres, exposure for 10-hour produced evidence of central nervous system depression, and after 12-hour of exposure, the animals were comatose (PATTY (5th, 2001)). In addition, based on a report for human effects that inhalation may cause CNS depression at high concentrations (HSDB (2006)), the substance was classified into Category 3 (narcotic effects).
