In an acute oral toxicity test in rats (an LD50 value: 920 mg/kg), most deaths were observed on day 3 to 4. Observed toxic signs were a loss of appetite, weakness, salivation, tremors, and dyspnea, and necropsy findings of liver discoloration, renal congestion, and hemorrhage in the lungs (USEPA/HPV (2006)).
