- - In a 28-day repeated oral administration test with rats, pathological changes due to administration of the test substance occurred in the liver and kidney in the groups of 100 mg/kg/day (converted guidance value: 31 mg/kg/day) or higher, and centrilobular hepatocellular hypertrophy in the liver and an increase in hyaline droplets and basophilic changes as regenerative changes in the proximal tubular epithelium in the kidney of males were observed (JECDB (Access on July 2013)). Regarding the results, findings in the liver were changes estimated to be adaptive phenomena, which generally occurred when drug-metabolizing enzymes were induced by the administration of various drugs. And findings in the kidney were regarded as characteristic changes of alpha 2-micro globulin nephropathy that occurred specifically in male rats and not applicable to humans (JECDB (Access on July 2013)). From the above, no adverse effects were found even at the high dose of 500 mg/kg/day (converted guidance value: 155 mg/kg/day) above the guidance value range, and it corresponds to "Not classified" in the oral route. However, because of no repeated exposure information on the other routes, the classification is not possible due to lack of data.
