 As a result of an oral administration (gavage) test using pregnant rats (days 6-15 of gestation), it is described that fused sternebrae were observed in fetuses at 100 mg/kg/day, in which reduction in body weight gain and food consumption was observed in mothers (HSDB (Access on June 2016)).
 It is described that as a result of subcutaneous injections of this substance during pregnancy or during pregnancy and lactation, delayed sexual maturation in both male and female offspring was observed (HSDB (Access on June 2016)). In addition, it is described that in a gavage administration test of mixture of 4 types of atrazine including this substance, delayed preputial separation, increase in epididymal fat masses and inflammatory lesions in the prostate were observed in male offspring (HSDB (Access on June 2016)).
 As above, based on the findings that this substance caused skeletal abnormalities at a dose of maternal toxicity, and additionally, exhibited effects on sexual maturation in offspring, it was classified in Category 2.

 As for experimental animals, in repeated dose toxicity study using dogs given by feeding, the effects on the heart (angiomatous hyperplasia of the right atrium (one male), paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (one female), quantitative ECG changes such as reduced P wave amplitude, increased duration of P waves, and tachycardia) and effect on the haemal system (reduction of red blood cell count, hemoglobin, and hematocrit) were reported at 1,000 ppm (converted guidance value: 25 mg/kg/day), which is equivalent to Category 2 (HSDB (Access on June 2016)).
 Therefore, the substance was classified in Category 2 (heart, haemal system)).
