Rationale for the classification
1 Acute toxicity (Oral) Category 3

Danger
H301 P301+P310
P264
P270
P321
P330
P405
P501
Based on a report of an LD50 value of 100 mg/kg for rats (HSDB (Access on June 2017)), it was classified in Category 3.
1 Acute toxicity (Dermal) Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data. The IUCLID (2000) used in the previous classification was not adopted because it could not be obtained and confirmed. Therefore, the classification result was changed from the previous one.
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Gases) Not applicable
-
-
- - Solid (GHS definition)
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Vapours) Not applicable
-
-
- - Solid (GHS definition)
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Dusts and mists) Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data.
2 Skin corrosion/irritation Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data. Besides, since the IUCLID (2000) used in the previous classification is unavailable currently, the category was revised based on the information obtained in this research.
3 Serious eye damage/eye irritation Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data. Besides, since the IUCLID (2000) used in the previous classification is unavailable currently, it was not used.
4 Respiratory sensitization Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data.
4 Skin sensitization Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data. Besides, since the IUCLID (2000) used in the previous classification is unavailable currently, it was not used.
5 Germ cell mutagenicity Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data. Besides, as for in vitro, there are reports that bacterial reverse mutation tests were negative or positive, and a mammalian cell gene mutation test was positive (ECHA registration dossier (Access on July 2017)), but since these were not from the information source in List 1 or in List 2, they were not used for the classification. The IUCLID described in the previous classification was not available and could not be confirmed.
6 Carcinogenicity Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data. Besides, since IUCLID (2000) could not be accessed, the REACH registration dossier of ECHA was searched, but the information on carcinogenicity of this substance could not be obtained (ECHA registration dossier (Access on September 2017)).
7 Reproductive toxicity Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data. Besides, since IUCLID (2000) could not be accessed, REACH registration dossier of ECHA was searched. As a result, there were data of Reliability 3 on both reproductive toxicity and developmental toxicity, but there was no reliable information of Reliability 1 or 2 (ECHA registration dossier (Access on September 2017)).
8 Specific target organ toxicity - Single exposure Category 2 (nervous system)

Warning
H371 P308+P311
P260
P264
P270
P405
P501
There is no information on a single exposure to this substance in humans. As for experimental animals, there is a report that in a single oral dose test with rats, tremor and mild eyelid ptosis were observed at 50, 100, and 250 mg/kg within a range for Category 1, but they resolved within 24 hours (HSDB (Access on June 2017)). Therefore, it was classified in Category 2 (nervous system). The doses correspond to Category 1 according to the guidance value, but the data were from the information source listed in List 2, and do not meet the criterion 1b3) described in the GHS classification guidance for the Japanese government (OECD TG test and GLP compliant test). Therefore, it was classified in Category 2 according to the guidance. Besides, the IUCLID (2000) used in the previous classification was not used because it could not be obtained and confirmed.
9 Specific target organ toxicity - Repeated exposure Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data.
Besides, as a result of searching the REACH registration dossier of ECHA, there was data of Reliability 3, but there was no reliable information of Reliability 1 or 2 (ECHA registration dossier (Access on September 2017)). In addition, since the IUCLID (2000) used in the previous classification is unavailable currently, the classification result was different.
10 Aspiration hazard Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data.
