[Evidence Data]
(1) In a combined study of repeated dose toxicity test and reproduction/developmental toxicity screening test with rats dosed by gavage (OECD TG 422), no reproductive effects were observed even at doses at which toxicity in parent animals (a reduction in total protein in males and females, a reduction in glucose, an increase in ALT, increases in absolute and relative kidney weight, and an increase in relative liver weight in females, and an increase in BUN in males, etc.) was observed (Safety Test (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), 2007)).
(2) In a developmental toxicity study by oral administration of 2,2-dichloropropionic acid (CAS RN 75-99-0) to female rats (days 6-15 of gestation) dosed by gavage, only a reduction in fetal body weight was observed even at doses exceeding the limit level, and no teratogenicity was observed (ACGIH (7th, 2001)).
