[Rationale for the Classification] Based on (1), since the EC3 was estimated to be 2% or less, it was classified in Category 1A. Also, based on the new findings, the classification result was changed. [Evidence Data] (1) It was reported that, in a Local Lymph Node Assay (LLNA) (OECD TG 429, GLP) with mice (n=5), the stimulation index (SI values) were 11.2 (1%), 22.0 (2.5%), and 31.5 (5%) (REACH registration dossier (Accessed Nov. 2021)). [Reference Data, etc.] (2) It was reported that, in a maximization test (OECD TG 406, GLP, intradermal injection: 1% solution) with guinea pigs (n=10), the positive rate was 100% (10/10 animals) at both 24 hours and 48 hours after the first challenge exposure with a 25% solution. Since positive reactions were also observed in all control group animals, they were judged to be irritative reactions, and a rechallenge exposure was performed with a 1% solution. It was reported that the positive rate was 30% (3/10 animals) at both 24 hours and 48 hours after the rechallenge exposure (REACH registration dossier (Accessed Nov. 2021)). |
