1 | Acute toxicity (Oral) | Category 4 |
Warning |
H302 | P301+P312 P264 P270 P330 P501 |
Based on the rat LD50 value of 1330 mg/kg (EHC 221 (2001)), the substance was classified into Category 4. | FY2010 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |

8 | Specific target organ toxicity - Single exposure | Category 2 (systemic) |
Warning |
H371 | P308+P311 P260 P264 P270 P405 P501 |
In rats and mice administered orally, the majority of deaths occurred within the first 48 hours. The clinical and physical signs of toxicity included miosis, conjunctivitis, decreased food consumption and body weight, hemorrhage in the tail and hematosis. In the survivors, these effects disappeared with time. The LD50 values of rats and mice were 1330 mg/kg and 1452 mg/kg, respectively (EHC 221 (2001)). Because of LD50 values corresponding to Category 2 and unspecified target organs, the classification was determined as Category 2 (systemic toxicity). | FY2010 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
