By orally exposing rats at 400 mg/kg/day (90-day conversion: approximately 142 mg/kg/day) for 32 days, significant increase of weights of some organs, slight changes in blood test values, and slight histological changes in the liver and the testicles were detected (IUCLID (2000)). After exposure via inhalation at 0.005 - 0.03 mg/L/24h (0.01 - 0.06 mg/L/6h/day) for 90 days, no effect was observed in rats and mice, while in a test in which dogs were exposed via inhalation for 90 days (doses: 0.005, 0.03 mg/L/24h (0.02, 0.12 mg/L/6h/day)), dose-dependent atrophy of the seminiferous tubules and weight reduction of the testicles at the dose of 0.12 mg/L/6h/day were observed, and so were effects on the testicles at the dose equivalent to the guidance value of Category 1 (IUCLID (2000)).
