H301 | P301+P310 P264 P270 P321 P330 P405 P501 |
On the basis of an LD50 value of 250 mg/kg for rats (IUCLID (2000)), it was classified in Category 3. | FY2011 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Dermal) | Category 3 |

Danger |
H330 | P304+P340 P403+P233 P260 P271 P284 P310 P320 P405 P501 |
On the basis of an LC50 value for rats: 138 ppm in a 4-hour exposure (OECD TG 403; GLP) (IUCLID (2000)), it was classified in Category 2. Besides, a reference value of gasses as a vapour with hardly included mist was applied because the LC50 value (138 ppm) is lower than 90 % of the saturated vapour pressure concentration (3868 ppm). |

Warning |
H315 | P302+P352 P332+P313 P362+P364 P264 P280 P321 |
On the basis of a "highly irritating" result in an occlusive test applied to rabbit skins for 4 hours (US-EPA-TSCA Health Effects Testing Guidelines and US-EPA-FIFRA, Pesticide Assessment Guidelines; GLP compliance) (IUCLID (2000)), it was classified in Category 2. Besides, details of a test which reported that an occlusive application to rabbit auricular skins for 1 to 8 hours resulted in corrosive (IUCLID (2000)) are unknown. |

Danger |
H372 | P260 P264 P270 P314 P501 |
In a 4-week inhalation (vapour) exposure test in rats (OEDD TG 412; GLP), the test substance caused respiratory tract irritation symptoms at a concentration of 0.1083 mg/L/6h (converted to a 90-day equivalent value: 0.033 mg/L/6h) such as bradypnea, labored breathing, rale, cyanosis, serous nasal discharge. And pathological signs such as inflammatory changes with a wide area of metaplasia of flat epithelium accompanied by partial cornification complicated by the invasion of round cells in the nasal cavity, paranasal cavity, oropharynx, nasopharynx, pharynx and respiratory tract, and atrophy of olfactory epithelium were reported. And the number of animals with slightly significant subpleural round cell invasion increased slightly. (IUCLID (2000)) Due to the main effects on a nose, oropharynx, pharynx and respiratory tract, and no serious effects on the lung, and the exposure concentration corresponding to Category 1 of a range of Guidance values, it was classified in Category 1 (respiratory tract). |
