1 | Acute toxicity (Oral) | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | An LD50 value of >5000 mg/kg for rats was reported for a preparation of this substance (Pesticide safety information, Japanese Journal of Pesticide Science Vo.24 No.4 (1999), corresponding to List 2), but the classification is not possible due to an unknown content of this substance in the preparation. | FY2011 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |

- |
- | - | An LD50 value of >2000 mg/kg for rats was reported for a preparation of this substance (Pesticide safety information, Japanese Journal of Pesticide Science Vo.24 No.4 (1999)), but the classification is not possible due to an unknown content of this substance in the preparation. | FY2011 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |

2 | Skin corrosion/irritation | Category 2 |
Warning |
H315 | P302+P352 P332+P313 P362+P364 P264 P280 P321 |
In an occlusive test applied 0.5 mL of a preparation of this substance to rabbit skin for 4 hours (Guidelines by Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Draize method), moderate to severe erythema was observed in all animals 1 hour after removal of patches. And scab formation observed after 24 hours turned into erosion after falling off on day 6 to 9 and showed recovery tendency afterward. As a result, the test substance was judged to have moderate primary irritation to rabbit skin tissues (Pesticide safety information, Japanese Journal of Pesticide Science Vo.24 No.4 (1999): List 2). Therefore, it was classified in Category 2. |
FY2011 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
3 | Serious eye damage/eye irritation | Category 2A |
Warning |
H319 | P305+P351+P338 P337+P313 P264 P280 |
In a test applied 0.1 mL of a preparation of this substance to rabbit eyes (Guidelines by Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Draize method), corneal opacity observed in all animals 1 hour after application still remained in one animal after 21 days. Congestion and swelling of the iris (score 1) were observed in one animal, and redness (redness score 1) observed in all animals 1 hour after application reversed by day 16 except one animal (Pesticide safety information, Japanese Journal of Pesticide Science Vol.24 No.4 (1999)). Because the test substance was judged to have moderate irritation to rabbit eye mucosa from the above, it was classified in Category 2A. |

4 | Respiratory sensitization | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | No data. | FY2011 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
4 | Skin sensitization | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | It was judged to be not skin sensitizing because noted responses in a challenge after induction by a preparation of this substance were not observed in a maximization test in guinea pigs (Pesticide safety information, Japanese Journal of Pesticide Science Vo.24 No.4 (1999)). But it was classified as "Classification not possible" due to no positive rate data and the information corresponding to List 2. |
FY2011 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
5 | Germ cell mutagenicity | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | The classification is not possible due to no in vivo test data. Besides, an Ames test and a chromosomal aberration test using CHL cells reported negative results as in vitro tests (NTP DB (1991), Pesticide safety information, Japanese Journal of Pesticide Science Vo.24 No.4 (1999)). |

- | - | No data. | FY2011 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
8 | Specific target organ toxicity - Single exposure | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | Lack of data. Besides, there is the information that inhalation of dust causes irritation to nose and throat, coughing, and sneezing (HSDB (2002)), but details of respiratory tract irritation are unknown. |
