In a 90-day repeated oral administration test with mice (doses: 100, 200, 400 mg/kg/day), increased liver weights in both males and females in the groups at or above 100 mg/kg/day, increased incidences and aggravation of hypertrophy and necrosis of the centrilobular hepatocytes in the liver in females at or above 100 mg/kg/day and males at or above 200 mg/kg/day, and nephrosis and related renal lesions in females at or above 100 mg/kg/day were observed (Environmental Risk Assessment for Chemical Substances vol. 7 (Ministry of the Environment, 2009)). From the above, it was classified in Category 2 (liver, kidney ) because adverse effects were found in the liver and kidney at 100 mg/kg/day corresponding to the upper limit of the guidance value range. On the other hand, in a 4-month repeated inhalation exposure test with rats (vapour: 4 hours/day, 0.5-1.25 mg/m3), findings such as bronchitis, peribronchitis with alveolar epithelial hyperplasia and bronchial epithelial metaplasia, and detachment of bronchial and alveolar epithelium are reported as lung effects in histological examination (Environmental Risk Assessment for Chemical Substances vol. 7 (Ministry of the Environment, 2009)). From the results, the test concentrations (converted 6-hour/day equivalent value: 0.0004-0.001 mg/L) correspond to the guidance values for Category 1, therefore it was classified in Category 1 (respiratory system).
