As for experimental animals, it was reported that, in a 28-day repeated oral dose toxicity test with rats, hyperplasia of the stratified squamous epithelium in the forestomach, which was considered to be an effect of local irritation, was observed at or above 25 mg/kg/day (converted guidance value: 7.8 mg/kg/day) within the guidance value range for Category 1. At 400 mg/kg/day (converted guidance value: 124.4 mg/kg/day) exceeding the guidance value range for Category 2, lower body weights, changes in hematological and blood chemical parameters, and higher liver weights were reported (PATTY (6th, 2012)).
