In a 28-day gavage administration test with rats, anemia findings (lower values in erythrocyte count, hemoglobin, and hematocrit (males: not significant changes but a tendency toward anemia) and high reticulocyte count (females only)) were observed at the dose (25 mg/kg/day (converted guidance value)) corresponding to Category 2, and these were hardly reversible effects after the cessation of treatment (JECDB (Access on October 2013)). Therefore, it was classified in Category 2 (blood system). Besides, in the test, pathological findings were observed in the thymus, kidney, spleen (secondary effects associated with anemia), and glandular stomach, but these were not adopted as the target organs because the changes were not common to males and females, and the dose-response relationship was unclear. 10 Aspiration hazard Classification not possible
