7 Reproductive toxicity Not classified
-
-
- - No effects on parental fertility and no adverse effects on offspring were observed in a combined repeated dose toxicity study with the reproduction/developmental toxicity screening test with rats administered by gavage at doses up to 1,000 mg/kg/day (JECDB (Access on May 2016)). Moreover, in developmental toxicity test by gavage with rats during the organogenesis period of pregnancy, no developmental effects including maternal toxicity and teratogenicity to the fetus were observed up to 1,000 mg/kg/day (JECDB (Access on May 2016)). Therefore, the substance was classified as "Not classified" for this hazard class according to the GHS classification guidance for the Japanese government. FY2016 GHS Classification Guidance for the Japanese Government (FY2013 revised edition (Ver. 1.1))
8 Specific target organ toxicity - Single exposure Classification not possible
-
-
- - Classification not possible due to lack of data. FY2016 GHS Classification Guidance for the Japanese Government (FY2013 revised edition (Ver. 1.1))
9 Specific target organ toxicity - Repeated exposure Classification not possible
-
-
- - There is no information on humans.
As for experimental animals, in a 28-day combined repeated dose toxicity study with the reproduction/developmental toxicity screening test using rats administered by gavage, an increase in the absolute and relative liver weight, a shortening in the activated partial thromboplastin time and a decrease in albumin/globulin ratio etc. were observed in male rats at 25 mg/kg/day (converted guidance value: 7.8 mg/kg/day) or more, which is equivalent to Category 1. A decrease in the erythrocyte count, an increase in the amount of neutrophils, an increase in the amount of alkaline phosphatase and a decrease in total bilirubin were observed in male rats dosed at 250 mg/kg/day (converted guidance value: 77.8 mg/kg/day), which is equivalent to Category 2 (JECDB (Access on May 2016)).
As described above, also findings suggesting effects on the liver were observed, however, data are not sufficient for the evidence of the classification. Moreover, death nor suppression of body weight gain etc. was not observed at up to the highest dose. From the above, it is thought that it is not possible to classify from these test results.
Therefore, this substance was classified as "Classification not possible."
