As human health effect, there is a report that the substance may cause nausea, vomiting, mental confusion, dizziness, convulsions (HSDB (2002)). Additionally, there is a report that initially the substance commonly may cause gastrointestinal effects (epigastric burning, nausea, vomiting, gastric distress) and neurologic effects (anxiety, agitation, confusion, delirium, excitement, seizures), and later may cause respiratory failure from central nervous depression. In some case, coma or death may occur (HSDB (2002)). Based on this information from a document in List 2, the substance was classified into Category 2 (central nervous system). | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |
