1 | Acute toxicity (Oral) | Not classified |
- |
- | - | Based on a LD50 value of 6.73 g/kg for rats (PATTY (5th, 2001)), the substance was classified into "Not classified". | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Dermal) | Not classified |
- |
- | - | Based on a LD50 value of 10.1 g/kg for rabbits (PATTY (5th, 2001)), the substance was classified as "Not classified". | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |

1 | Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Vapours) | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | Classification not possible due to lack of data. As relevant information, there are LC50 values of 9 mg/L/10.5h for cats (15 mg/L/4h; 2580 ppm/4h) and LC50 of 9 mg/L/4.8h for rabbits (10 mg/L/4h; 1720 ppm/4h) (PATTY (5th, 2001)). These values correspond to Category 2 and 3, respectively. Since saturated vapour pressure concentration is 14473 ppm (84.2 mg/L), the test was considered to be conducted for vapour with almost no included mists. | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |

2 | Skin corrosion/irritation | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | Classification not possible due to lack of data. As relevant information, there is a report of "moderate irritating" in a rabbit standard Draize test where 100 or 500 mg was applied to the skin for 24-hour (RTECS (1997)) and a report that the substance is irritating to the skin, eyes and respiratory tract (ICSC (2005)). | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |

Based on reports of eye irritating in rabbit and human inhalation tests (PATTY (5th, 2001)), the substance was classified into Category 2B. As relevant information, there is a report of "mild irritating" at 24-hour after instillation of 500 mg to the eye in a rabbit standard Draize test (RTECS (1997)). | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |

There is a report that inhalation exposure to rabbits caused irritation to nose and eyes but with complete recovery (PATTY (5th, 2001)). Additionally, it is reported that inhalation exposure caused irritation to nose and eyes in cats and human (PATTY (5th, 2001)). Based on this information, the substance was classified into Category 3 (respiratory tract irritation). Inhalation tests resulted in a LC50 value of 9 mg/L/10.5h (15 mg/L/4h) for cats and a LC50 value of 9 mg/L/4.8h (10 mg/L/4h) for rabbits. Deaths were observed at dose levels within the guidance value range for Category 2 (PATTY (5th, 2001)), however, the affected organ was not identified, so the substance was classified into Category 2 (systemic toxicity). | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |
9 | Specific target organ toxicity - Repeated exposure | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | Classification not possible due to lack of data. Although there is a report of "no symptoms" when cats were exposed via inhalation at a concentration of 637 ppm for 30 days (8 hr/day) (PATTY (5th, 2001)), classification was not possible since details are unclear. | FY2009 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (March, 2009) |
