- | - | Lack of data. Besides, there is one case where a pregnant woman who was dosed this substance during pregnancy (as an anticoagulant medication) delivered a child with a cleft palate (Teratogenic (12th, 2007), corresponding to List 2), and this substance is listed in Chemicals Identified Under California Proposition 65 as Developmentally Toxic (Birth Defects (3rd, 2000), corresponding to List 2), but it was classified as "Classification not possible" due to unknown details in both. |

8 | Specific target organ toxicity - Single exposure | Category 2 (blood) |
Warning |
H371 | P308+P311 P260 P264 P270 P405 P501 |
Bleeding is the major toxicity of this substance used as an anticoagulant medication, and especially, irreversible damage of serious events may result from compression of intracranial, pericardial, nerve sheath, and so on, or from massive internal bleeding (HSDB (2003)). On the basis that "acute clinical effects depend on the site of hemorrhage and include hemoptysis, hematuria, gastrointestinal bleeding, abdominal or back pain (retroperitoneal hemorrhage), hemarthrosis, and cerebrovascular accidents" (HSDB (2003)), it was classified in Category 2 (blood) due to list 2 information. |

9 | Specific target organ toxicity - Repeated exposure | Category 2 (blood) |
Warning |
H373 | P260 P314 P501 |
Bleeding is the major toxicity of this substance used as an anticoagulant medication, and especially, irreversible damage of serious events may result from compression of intracranial, pericardial, nerve sheath, and so on, or from massive internal bleeding (HSDB (2003)). A hemorrhagic diathesis was observed in calves fed the hay containing this substance, and the animals showed increased prothrombin and partial thromboplastin times, weakness, stiff gait, tachycardia, tachypnea, hematomata, and sudden deaths. The absence of blood coagulation was seen at necropsy, hemorrhages were observed in most organs, and this substance was detected in the serum (HSDB (2003)). From the above knowledge, it was classified in Category 2 (blood) due to list 2 information. Besides, it is classified in T; R48 in EU classification (EC-JRC (ESIS) (Access on July. 2011)). |

11 | Hazardous to the aquatic environment Short term (Acute) | Category 2 |
- |
H401 | P273 P501 |
It was classified in Category 2 from 96-hour LC50 = 5.11 mg/L for fish (Pimephales promelas) (AQUIRE, 2012; HSDB, 2003). | FY2011 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
11 | Hazardous to the aquatic environment Long term (Chronic) | Category 2 |
- |
H411 | P273 P391 P501 |
Reliable chronic toxicity data are not obtained. Because appropriate data on rapid degradability was not obtained and it was classified in Category 2 in acute toxicity, it was classified in Category 2. |
