It is written in the combination test of repeated dose toxicity study and reproduction screening study in rats (OECD TG 422, GLP) that "organic changes of the kidney" by exposure were observed, and "in the lien of administered group, pigmentation, extramedullary hematopoiesis and congestion significantly increased as compared with the control group, in addition, decrease in the number of red blood cells, hemoglobin content, hematocrit, and average red corpuscle hemoglobin concentrationan, and increase in reticulocyte ratio were found, therefore, it is thought that mild hemolytic anemia is caused" (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare reports (1994)). Since these effects were found within the scope of the guidance value of Category 2, it was classified into Category 2 (kidney, lien, and blood system).
