---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Acute toxicity (Oral) | Not classified |
- |
- | - | Based on the rat LD50 value of > 5000 mg/kg (SIDS (2003)), the substance was classified as "Not classified". | FY2010 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Dermal) | Not classified |
- |
- | - | Based on the rabbit LD50 value of > 5000 mg/kg (SIDS (2003)), the substance was classified as "Not classified". | FY2010 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Gases) | Not classified (Not applicable) |
- |
- | - | Liquid (GHS definition) | FY2010 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Vapours) | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | The LC50 value of > 5.7 mg/L/4hrs (SIDS (2003)), as a result of 4-hour vapor inhalation test using rats, was reported. Since this value did not provide a basis for classification, the substance was classified as "Classification not possible". | FY2010 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Dusts and mists) | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | No data available. | FY2010 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
2 | Skin corrosion/irritation | Not classified |
- |
- | - | The substance was classified as "Not classified" based on the documented case of "non-irritating" with the primary irritation index of 0.04 resulted from rabbit test in which 0.5 mL of the undiluted substance was applied for 24 hours (SIDS (2003)). | FY2010 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
3 | Serious eye damage/eye irritation | Not classified |
- |
- | - | In the rabbit test, instillation of 0.1 mL of undiluted substance resulted in non-irritating, and irritation scores of the unwashed eye on day 1, day 2 and after day 3 were 1.0, 0.3, and 0.0, respectively (maximum score: 110) (SIDS (2003)). Based on the information, the substance was classified as "Not classified " | FY2010 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |

In rats treated by gavage at 1300 mg/kg, incoordination and decreased activity were observed, and as the dose level increased the rats became lethargic and semiconscious. At doses of 5000 mg/kg or higher, some animals died, and labored respiration, lethargy and unconsciousness were observed (SIDS (2003)). In addition, transient lethargy was also observed in rabbits treated with the dermal application at 5000 mg/kg (SIDS (2003)). Based on the clinical signs described above, the substance was classified as Category 3 (narcotic effects). | FY2010 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (July, 2010) |
