1 | Acute toxicity (Oral) | Category 4 |
Warning |
H302 | P301+P312 P264 P270 P330 P501 |
It was classified into Category 4 from LD50 value of 681mg (RTECS (2008))/kg of the oral administration test employing a rat. In addition, in EU classification, Xn; R20/22 (EU-Annex I). | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Dermal) | Category 3 |
Danger |
H311 | P302+P352 P361+P364 P280 P312 P321 P405 P501 |
It was classified into Category 3 from LD50 value of 316mg/kg (RTECS (2008)) of the dermal administration test employing a rabbit. In addition, the EU classification is R24 (EU-Annex I). | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Gases) | Not classified (Not applicable) |
- |
- | - | Since it was a solid by the definition of GHS and inhalation in gas was not assumed, it was classified into "Not applicable". | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Vapours) | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | Classification not possible due to lack of data | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
1 | Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Dusts and mists) | Not classified |
- |
- | - | Saturated vapor pressure level at 25degCis 118.4 ppm (1.06 mg/L). Since LC50 value with 9.92 mg/L of the 4-hour inhalation exposure test employing rats (RTECS (2008)) was larger than saturated vapor pressure level, it was classified into "Not classified" by applying the dust and mist standard. In addition, the EU classification is R20/22 (EU-Annex I). | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
2 | Skin corrosion/irritation | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | Classification is not possible because there is no data. In addition, it has been described that "hyperkeratosis and epithelial neoplasm on the dosing side of skin of almost half of rats with dose of 375 mg/kg" (NTP TR400 (1993)) were observed in the repeated dermal administration test with rats. | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
3 | Serious eye damage/eye irritation | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | Classification not possible due to lack of data | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
4 | Respiratory sensitization | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | Classification is not possible since there is no data. | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
4 | Skin sensitization | Classification not possible |
- |
- | - | Classification is not possible since there is no data. | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
5 | Germ cell mutagenicity | Not classified |
- |
- | - | Since it was negative in the body cell in vivo mutagenicity test (micronucleus test which employed the the mouse bone marrow cell) (IARC 77 (2000), NTP DB (Access on September 2008), NTP RoC (11th, 2002), NTP TR 400 (1993)), it was classified into "Not classified". | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |

- | - | Classification not possible due to lack of data | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
9 | Specific target organ toxicity - Repeated exposure | Category 2 (gastrointestinal system, kidney, liver) |
Warning |
H373 | P260 P314 P501 |
It is written in 48 to 55-week dermal administration test in rats that "there were hyperkeratosis in anterior stomach and esophagus, increased rate of incidence of epithelial hyperplasia in nose, pleomorphism of cells in liver, and apparent basophilic cellular changes, in addition, nuclear enlargement in kidney, ulcer and acanthokeratodermia in anterior stomach, vasodilatation in liver, hyperplasia of kidney in males, and epithelial dysplasia in anterior stomach, and hyperplasia of bile duct in females" (IARC 77 (2000), NTP TR400 (1993)). Moreover, it is written in 36 to 42-week dermal administration test in rats that there were epithelial dysplasia of anterior stomach, and increased rate of incidence of pleomorphism of bronchiolar epithelium (IARC (2000), NTP TR400 (1993)). Since all were found within the scope of the guidance value of Category 2, it was classified into Category 2 (digestive system, kidney, liver). Since there is a possibility of incidence by inhalation of the applied sample about the respiratory system, and classification cannot be specified, it is not adopted, however, cautions are required since it could have some adverse effects on the respiratory system. Refer to the carcinogenicity section about the respiratory system. In addition, it is written in sperm morphology test and cytodiagnosis of vagina that "the weight of tails, testis, and epididymis of rats administered remarkably decreased"(NTP TR400 (1993)), the testis is considered to be a target organ, however, it is not adopted because a route of administration is unknown, and classification cannot be specified. | FY2008 | GHS Classification Guidance by the Japanese Government (Sep, 2008) |
