Summary:
Of the product accident information reported to the NITE Product Safety Technology Center, the number of accidents involving ladders, stepladders, etc. amounted to 189 for the five-year period from fiscal 2006 to 2010. Of those, 121 cases (64%) were "accident which is considered to have been caused entirely by improper or inadvertent use (accident cause category "E")," many of them involving serious damage such as death or serious injury. Hence, we urge you to take note of proper use of the products to prevent such accidents.
