EncP: PAL(phenylalanine ammonia lyase)

配列解析からhistidine ammonia lyases (histidases, HALs)としては機能しないと示唆される。
PALは植物におけるbenzoate合成経路の初期反応であるL-phenylalanine → trans-cinnamic acidの変換を触媒。細菌のPAL geneやタンパクはこれまでに報告されていない。
