SgcR, SgcEの機能解析

putative DNA-binding proteinsと推定されるsgcE1,sgcRの不活性化株を作製。sgcE1はC-1027の生合成に影響を与えなかったがsgcR不活性化株はC-1027とheptaeneのtitersが著しく増加した。したがって、SgcRはC-1027のnegative regulatorであることを示した。また、sgcR欠損株においてsgcR1の過剰発現させると、C-1027産生は約7倍に上がった。

SgcRは、Streptomycetes genomesの配列の中で2つの機能未知タンパクと唯一相同性を示すことから、regulatory proteinsのuncharacterized familyに属するかもしれないと推測している。
