VanXst: D-Ala-D-Ala dipeptidase

clusterの5'末端にあるvanHst, vanAst, vanXstは抗生物質耐性遺伝子で、これらはペプチドグリカン層のD-Ala-D-AlaをD-Ala-D-lactateに変換してA47934にホスト耐性を与えるのに必要十分である。実験については以下の論文を引用している。
