borH insertional inactivation mutantはborrelidin産生が1/5以下に減る。
このmutant株にtrans-1,2-CPDAを加えるとborrelidin産生はほぼ回復。

以上から、BorHはtrans-1,2-CPDAの生合成によく関連しているかもしれないが、その役割まではわからない。
