module 21のKR domainによるketo reductionが不完全なときは、C3 positionがketo基のFR-008-IIが産生される。

DH18 domain不活化で、C-9 methyleneのあるFR-008-VI非産生。
両domains不活化で、C-3 ketoneとC-9 OH基を持ち、Vより優れ、VIに匹敵する抗真菌活性を持ったIIIのみを産生。
したがってKR21 and DH18の不活化は、FR-008 complexの構造差異に関連する。
