AveBI = AvrB

S. lividansでS. avermitilis avrBCDEFGHI を発現させて外因性aglyconeと反応させるとavermectin産生可能だが、avrCDEFGHI (delta-avrB)だと不可能。
avrBを含みその他の修飾があるplasmidでは、L-oleandroseではなくL-olivoseとそのC3立体異性体L-digitoxose(A1a1, 2)やD-olivose(A1a3)などを糖鎖として持つavermectin誘導体が得られたことから、ある程度の柔軟性を持つglycosyltransferaseである。
D-olivose同士を相互接続できない。disaccharideの移動はできない。
