Streptococcus pyogenesで、LraI (lipoprotein receptor-associated antigen I) familyのABC transporterを調べた。mtsABC operonを欠く変異体は、野生型に比べてFeやZnの取り込みが減少した。MtsAのFe, Zn, Mn, Cuとの結合を調べた。
