pimaricin gene clusterに隣接するRhtB family amino-acid exporter PimTについての論文。

pimTのgene replacement mutantは、L-homoserine, L-serine, and L-homoserine lactoneへの感受性増加。相補で回復。

pimT発現はhomoserineとquorum-sensing pimaricin-inducer PI-factor(autoinducer)によって誘導される。
pimT deletion mutantはpimaricin産生を65%、PI産生を50%まで減らし、pimT相補、外因性PI-factorの添加でpimaricin産生は回復する。
これはPimTがPI-factor exporterとして使用されることを示す。

以上から、pimaricin産生はamino acid exporter PimTによるquorum sensing pimaricin-inducer PI-factorの分泌を介して調節されている。
