ORF2-ORF4領域(ORF5も含まれる)を含んだplasmidの染色体DNAへの組み込みは、jadomycin B産生を激しく抑制したが、成長や胞子色素沈着には影響なし。

JadEはdecaketideだけでなく、octaketideも還元できる。
DpsE KRはdecaketidesを還元できるが、octaketidesを還元できない。

JadD, DpsFの両cyclasesはC-9で還元されたdecaketidesの位置特異的なfirst-ring cyclase/dehydrasesである。
