jadO, P, Q, S, T, U and Vは不活化による蓄積産物解析により、jadomycin Bのdideoxysugar部分の形成と、それのaglyconeへの付着を媒介することが示された。
この結果と配列類似から、sugar生合成経路を提唱。

JadSは、jadomycin aglyconへ活性型L-digitoxoseを移動するglycosyltransferaseであるとされている。
各mutantsは蓄積産物としてjadomycin aglyconeしか蓄積しないので、glycosylationはjadomycin B生合成経路における必須の最終反応であると示唆される。
