module7は、kirro_00240(KS)とこのORF kirro_00250(DH, KR, ACP)にfragment化している。

module8(このORF)とmodule3(kirro_00230, kirAII)のMT domainでC-32の2つのメチル基とC-21,C-19のメチル基をpropionateではなく、S-adenosyl-methionineから誘導していると考察している。

module9はC-17/C-19でのacetate unitの取り込みに関与すると示唆している。
metyltransferase domainはこのmoduleにはないが、kirromycin分子はC-19に一致するところでメチル化されている。
このクラスターにはC-methyltransferaseに相同性を示す他の酵素もない。したがって、このメチル化はmodule8のmethyltransferase domainにより触媒されるか、あるいは、kirromycin生合成遺伝子クラスターにエンコードされていないmethyltransferaseにより行われているという仮説を提案している。

module12は、このORF kirro_00250(KS)とKirro_00260(DH, ACP, KR)にfragment化している。
