oxazolomycin生合成遺伝子クラスターの報告。

invivo site-directed mutagenesisにより活性サイトのアミノ酸残基をOzmM-AT1の活性サイト Ser81->Glyに、OzmM-AT2の活性サイト Ser402->Glyに変異させた株を作製。
OzmM-AT1変異株はoxazolomycin産生に変化がみられなかったことから潜在的なdomainである可能性を示唆し、OzmM-AT2変異株ではoxazolomycin産生が出来なかったことからoxazolomycin生合成に必須である可能性を示唆した。

さらに、OzmMはmethoxymalonyl-CoA extender unitであるmodule10を除くAT-less PKS modulesすべてのmalonyl-CoA extender unitのloadingに関与すると考察。
module10のmethoxymalonyl-CoA extender unitのloadingにはOzmCが関与するとしている。

acyltransferase lnmGで唯一のAT activity が確認された。lnmGの不活性化株でLeinamycin biosynthesisが出来ないことを見ている。all six PKS modulesに対して特異的にそして効率的にmalonyl-CoA伸長ユニットのlaodingを触媒することも確認している。
