tautomycin (TTM) biosynthetic gene clusterについての文献。

ttmM(353a.a.): alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent hydroxylase

ttmMの機能実験は無いが、Fe(II)-alpha-ketoglutarate oxygenase domainを持つtaurine catabolism dioxygenase TauDとの相同性より、dialkylmaleic anhydride moiety biosynthesisにおけるC-3' hydroxylationに関与していると推測している。

putative C3' hydroxylaseをコードするttmMを不活化した株では、3つの新規3'-deshydroxy TTM analogsを蓄積。よって提唱機能が支持される。

また、TTMの特徴であるprotein phosphatase抑制作用にC3' OH moietyが重要であること、protein phosphatase抑制はTTM誘導細胞死を操縦する独占的機構ではないことが明らかになっている。
