TnrB3 protein

Streptomyces longisporoflavusで、tetronasin-resistance determinantのスクリーニング。
まず2つのdeterminantが見つかりtnrB (ptetR51)、tnrA (ptetR11)と名付けた。Streptomyces albusにクローニングしたところ、tnrB (ptetR51)の方だけがtetronasin抵抗性を示した。

tnrB determinantを更に解析したところ、ORF1, 2, 3が見つかった。ORF2(TnrB2)の産物はABC superfamilyのATP-binding domainsに著しい類似性があり、ORF3(TnrB3)はhydrophobic protein をコードしているだろうと思われた。

tnrBによるtetronasin resistanceのメカニズムはATP-dependent efflux systemだろう。

配列解析のみ。
SlnTI と SlnTII はおそらく産生株S. albus XM211にsalinomycin抵抗性を与える。
