  Mix ingredients except vitamin solution, Na2S·9H2O and cysteine-HCl. Dispense the medium into suitable culture vessels under a stream of N2/CO2 (80/20), seal with butyl rubber stoppers, and autoclave at 121°C for 20 min. Separately autoclave cysteine-HCl and Na2S·9H2O as 5% solutions under a N2 atmosphere. Prior to inoculation, aspetically and anaerobically add filter-sterile vitamin solution, cysteine-HCl solution and Na2S·9H2O solution.

  Dissolve nitrilotoriacetic acid and adjust pH to 6.5 with KOH. Then add minerals. Adjust final pH to 7.0.
