The salicylate 5-hydroxylase multicomponent enzyme system is composed of an electron transfer component and an hydroxylase component. The electron transfer component is comprised of a hydroxylase component (NagG and NagH) and an electron transfer component (ferredoxin and ferredoxin reductase).
