plmR2は、putative transcriptional activatorをコードするStreptomyces antibiotic regulatory protein (SARP) family genesと有意な相同性を示した。

Phoslactomycin(PLM) Bしか産生できないplmS2 deletion mutant NP2に、promoter下にplmR2を置いたplasmidを導入すると、PLM B産生が増加した。
