plmS2 and plmS3 deletion mutant NP8はphoslactomycin(PLM) Bのみ産生。
NP8 mutantをpromoter下のplmS2(pMSG1)で相補すると、C-18にOH基を持つPLM Gのみ産生。
よってPLMs合成において、最終ステップのacyl transferaseとして機能することが示唆される。
