2つのglycosyltransferase analogues RubG1 and G2がrub gene clusterで検出された。
RubG2 mutantの産物をHPLCでwildと比較したところRubradirinは検出されず、LC-MS解析でrubransarolのピークが示されたことから、RubG2の機能はrubradirin生合成におけるglycosylTFである。
