Tetracenomycin (Tcm) F2 cyclaseはtcmI にコードされる。
gel-filtration chromatographyより、溶液中でhomotrimer形成と判明。

pH8.0以上で、TcmI はanthrone Tcm F2 → naphthacenone Tcm F1への環化を触媒。
これは4つある環の最後の1つのみの環化。
Km of 121 +/- 18.2 microM and Vmax of 704 +/- 62.3 nmol.min-1.mg-1

pH6.5以下では、Tcm F2 → 9-decarboxy Tcm F1(Tcm-C生合成経路のshunt産物)への環化を触媒。
