AviG2,AviG3.AviG5,AviG6はavilamycin AのD-fucose moiety, D-mannose moiety, methyleurekanate moietyでメチル基を取り込むと推定している。

AviG2, AviG5, AviG6の機能解析の報告。

AviG6はS-adenosylmethionine-dependent methyltransferasesで保存されているmotif Iを保存していた。
TLC, HPLC-UV, HPLC/ESI-MSにて、aviG4とaviG6の欠損株の培養上清は2つのメチル基の欠如を確認した。
また、NMR解析(HMQC,HMBC)では、AviG6がD-mannose moietyのposition 2のhydroxyl groupをメチル化することを明らかにした。
