各欠損株を作製し、NMRにて構造解析を行っている。

aviO1, aviO2, aviO3は2-oxoglutarate-dependent enzymeをエンコードしていると推測され、avilamycin生合成においてC-C or O-C linkagesの形成に関与すると示唆された。
aviO1 or aviO3の不活性化はavilamycin生合成能が完全になくなり、培養液はantibiotic activityを全く示さなかった。したがって、avilamycin Aの生合成かあるいはその制御に関与していると推測された。機能は未知のままである。
