S.glaucescensのtetracenomycin(TCM) C合成に関わる遺伝子群のうち、tcmGおよびtcmPについての解析。クローニング、シークエンス解析およびrecombinant(E.coliにて過剰発現)を用いた機能解析。

・tcmPはO-methyltransferaseをコードし、 TCM EのC-9 carboxy基をメチル化してTCM A2を得る。
・tcmGはTCM A2のpositions C-4, C-4a, C-12aでのhydroxylationを担い、TCM Cをもたらす。

これら2遺伝子産物は、TCM C合成における最終段階で利用される。
